One of the key strengths of our Riada workers is flexibility, this is particularly true of our part time roles, often employers want flexibility too especially for peak or busy times of the year. We have some part timers that have been with us for over 11 years because it works so well for them and fits into their lives.

There is also a myth that part time work is anything under 16 hours in fact, the official definition of part time work is anything below full time as defined below:
“A part-time worker is someone who works fewer hours than a full-time worker. There is no specific number of hours that makes someone full or part-time, but a full-time worker will usually work 35 hours or more a week”, Gov.uk.
You may be in school, further education or training, have family or personal obligations, or are retired and receiving a Pension. Part-time work offers advantages to both employers and workers. Here are our 5 Great Reasons to work Part Time...
Flexibility Part-time jobs offer a flexibility that will help you keep up your studies or look after your children and earn some cash. You can work during weekdays when you can, on weekends, or you can take some shifts in a bar or restaurant in the evening. Part-time work doesn't have to take over your life and can actually be something you enjoy as a break or a way to meet new people.

Earn while you Learn
Being a student is hard work – lectures all day, parties all night – and more often than not a student loan is not enough to cover the costs of a student life. Bills, rent, tuition fees, food, course books and kebabs - it all costs money. But don’t worry, there are lots of ways to earn extra money without interfering with your studies or hectic social life.
Earn while the kids learn As a parent of school age children, it can be overwhelming trying to find a job that starts at 9am and finishes by 2pm or 3pm. Part time jobs can make this possible, you work 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday or less, and you make enough to help cover the rent, bills and groceries and still be there in the morning when your child goes to school and pick them up again later. It’s a win, win.
Work life balance A part time job allows you to work as much or as little as you need and enjoy your life or pursue your passion at the same time. You can work longer hours to increase your earnings or work around your plans or whatever demands your time. Sounds pretty perfect to us….
The extra money! Whether you are topping up the socialising fund or saving for something special. Did you know that research shows, that people who earn their own money tend to spend it more wisely. Student life can be expensive according to the article below, but it doesn’t have to be... Students set to spend over £2,700 of their loan in the first fortnight of university. Also check out the infographic below to see how other students cope.
