The National Minimum & Living wage increases soon, are you ready?
It was only last October that the National Minimum Wage (NMW) increased as it normally does annually. Now since the introduction of the National Living Wage (NLW), both minimum wage will change at the start of the every tax year in April.
The hourly rate for the minimum wage depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice.
It’s Riada’s job to know these things and we thought you might like to know too! Find all the details you need to know below
Wage Increase
From the 1st April 2017 the new rates will be:
25 years old and over get £7.50 per hour
21 to 24 years old get £7.05 per hour
18 to 20 years old get £5.60 per hour
16 to17 years old get £4.05 per hour
£3.50 for apprentices under 19 or 19+ who are in the first year of apprenticeship.

What do Riada Clients need to do?
Nothing... It is all part of our service. Team Riada have been busy contacting all our clients to reassure them that we are implementing the National Wage for all our temporary workers. So there is no need to worry as a Riada client, your business will be compliant from the word GO. What do Riada Workers need to do?
From 1st April 2017, Riada will automatically increase any worker eligible to match the National Minimum & Living Wage and you will see this on your weekly payslip from the following week. If you have any queries on your payslip, give Riada a call on 028 7032 6600 or send us a message.
