Yesterday Riada attended the first Lead2Grow conference ever on the Causeway Coast. Hosted by Jim Fitzpatrick and officially opened by the First Minister, Arlene Foster it was

certainly a day full of firsts.

Donal Doherty from Harry’s Shack was the first speaker to share his story from his first job as a Profit Analyst with British Airways to the realisation that his family business was calling him home and ultimately the drive and passion that has lead him to bring the Harry’s brand to Portstewart Strand to global critical acclaim. His clear message was People are the centre of every business and the reason for its success. He called for more help for the skills shortage in the Hospitality industry specifically Chefs and outlined a huge opportunity he believes exists for this area to be a European Food Destination.

Lara Morgan the keynote speaker bounced onto the stage and energised the room instantly. Author of the best selling business book “More balls than most” and building her business from nothing to selling it 17 years later for £20 million. She gave the audience practical advice and frameworks to enable businesses to achieve accelerated growth. She is now involved in running 7 other thriving businesses in the UK, Lara is seriously passionate about Leadership and supporting the small business sector.

It was a rare treat to have this calibre of leader in the room, inspiring our current and future business leaders. Team Riada came back simply buzzing with energy, ideas and an even stronger can-do attitude than they normally do.

Following the conference Gary Thompson, Riada’s Recruitment Specialist in Engineering & Industrial said:

“I found that Lara spoke very truthfully in how the real business world operates. A sense of drive and ambition was as vital to her as any focused sales training. Her decision making was often very cold and calculated but her results are evident that this approach is needed to reach the pinnacle. I found her honesty in business very refreshing to someone who like her, strives for success on a daily basis. A very driven, persistent, calculated decision maker with a vision that no one would stand in her way sums up my truthful thoughts. She reinforced my belief and passion in business.”

It was held in the state of the art Vineyard Conference centre and streamed live around the globe. Watch it here
